Invisalign Teen

Teenagers now have a clear alternative to braces. You can now say goodbye to "metal mouth" "tin grin" and "brace face" with the virtually invisible orthodontic treatment option from Invisalign Teen.  Invisalign Teen will straighten your teeth without you having to wear braces. There will be no wires or brackets to irritate the inside of your mouth. Your custom-made aligners are invisible and removable, allowing you to eat what ever you wish with out worrying about breaking your braces. Since they are custom-made for you, they are comfortable and easy to wear. No one will know that you are wearing them unless you tell them. There will be no braces visible on Facebook or your yearbook photos.  At Petrol Orthodontics, Invisalign Teen cost about the same a tradional braces and takes about the same amount of time.

Types of Braces

Orthodontic braces can be made of metal, ceramic, or plastic. They may be removable or they may be brackets bonded to the teeth. By placing a constant, gentle force in a carefully controlled direction, braces slowly move teeth to a corrected position. This is a great time to wear braces! Gone are the days when a metal band with a bracket was placed around each tooth. You can choose brackets that are clear or metallic color. You can choose the color of the ties that hold the wire in brackets. Wires are also less noticeable than they used to be and the latest materials move teeth faster with less discomfort to patients.

Ask your Orthodontist the best age to get Braces

The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that most children should have an orthodontic specialist check them by age seven (7). An early examination allows Dr. Petrol to determine if orthodontic treatment will be required and when is the best time for the patient to begin treatment. Many of the Temecula Valley dentists that work with Dr. Petrol have been trained to identify orthodontic problems early, and may refer you to our office earlier than age seven (7). If Dr Petrol decides that your child is not yet ready to begin treatment, they are placed in our orthodontic observation program, the Petrol Pups Kids Club, until they reach just the right age to begin their orthodontic treatment.

Patient cooperation is one of the most important aspects in achieving an excellent orthodontic result whether wearing braces or Invisalign Teen. To recognize and reward our patients hard work, we have created a rewards program: Petrol Smile Rewards and the Petrol Pups Kid Club.

Petrol Pups Kid's Club

Welcome to our family! Mom & Dad, you did the right thing! We have created our Petrol Pups club just for you. Being a member means you have given Dr. Petrol the opportunity to rule out any existing growth problems your child might have. The AAO recommends that a qualified orthodontist should check children no later than age seven. In doing so, you can avoid more complicated situations and minimize the treatment time and cost of your child’s future orthodontic treatment. Dr. Petrol will monitor your child’s development and determine the optimum time to begin treatment. Give Dr. Petrol the opportunity to rule out any growth and development problems for your friends’ children, other family members and neighbors’ children. Again, you’ll be doing the right thing!

Smile for a Lifetime Foundation

Smile for a Lifetime Foundation is a charitable non-profit organization that provides orthodontic care to individuals who may not otherwise have the opportunity to acquire assistance. Launched in 2008, Smile for a Lifetime Foundation aims to reach individuals with financial challenges, special situations, and orthodontic needs. The Foundation sponsors the orthodontic care of hundreds of patients each year. Smile for a Lifetime Foundation has participating orthodontists throughout the US. Each chapter has its own local Board of Directors who choose patients to be treated by the Foundation.

THE DOCTOR
Dr. Candide Petrol is a graduate of the University California at Los Angeles Dental School and the University of Minnesotta Orthodontic School. She is founder of the Southwest Riverside  Regional Chapter of the Smile for a Lifetime Foundation.
